Course Types

Introduction to Natural Wholefoods
6 evenings, one per week from 7pm - 10pm This course will introduce you to a whole new range of natural foods, recipes and cooking styles and each class will end with a delicious, 3-course meal. You will learn to use many quality ingredients (organic when available) including whole grains, beans & pulses, tofu, tempeh, fish, sea vegetables, vegetables and seasonings. Natural, sugar-free desserts will also be featured. Emphasis will be given to variety, taste, ease and fun! Recipe sheets are provided wherever possible.

Intermediate Level (4 evenings)
Many people wish to continue their development and this level is intended for those who have already had some practical experience. The course will deal with special techniques such as seitan-making and the preparation of sourdough and other baking techniques as well as menu planning.

One-day courses with special themes,
Some of these day courses will be of an Introductory nature for newcomers to wholefood cooking and some will cover a particular subject. Lunch and a light supper will usually be provided and recipe sheets wherever possible.

A selection of day courses follows:-

Baking Course will look at using wholefood ingredients in the preparation of delicious sourdough and wheat-free breads, pizza, pastries, desserts and baked tofu and vegetable dishes.

Seasonal Cooking introduces a wide variety of dishes, ingredients and cooking styles suitable for the different seasons of the year.

Christmas Cooking emphasises the use of traditional styles and recipes adapted for use without sugar, dairy or additives. We will produce tempting dishes just like those one would expect to see on the table at Christmas and the day will end with a full celebration meal.

Intensive Course - There will be a three-day Introductory Course running over 3 consecutive weekdays.

Individual Tuition - for those whose lifestyles do not allow the time to attend regular classes or with specific requirements, one-to-one tuition can be arranged. Special group classes can also be arranged. Classes can also be arranged at a venue of your choice where practical.

Catering -Bob Lloyd specialises in catering for different events at his home or elsewhere - dinners, birthdays, weddings etc. If you have an event - please ask about the possibility.

Other Workshops, etc. -Bob's schedule takes him to other venues, here and abroad for teaching and catering. If you would like to know about these events, please call.

Practice Class - Held on a Friday evening approximately once a month, this class is intended to help students to continue improving their practical skills. The idea is to cook a delicious 3-course meal together.
